Some FANTASTIC News....

Well ladies, it is official! I have some AWESOME news to share for the ladies in WA who have been affected by the cancellation of my classes at Scrappy Kapers. I am beyond thrilled to report that we have an alternative to offer! Of course, even if you were not registered there but are interested in attending anyways you are MORE THAN WELCOME and I cannot wait to see you there!!!

It is with great pleasure that I announce that SCRAPBOOK SECRETS has stepped up to the plate and offered to host 4 classes May 18 and 19. Yes... FOUR classes! We wanted to offer a bit of a variety and have come up with some fabulous options!!!

Friday, May 18, 2012 6-9:30pm

Authentique "Luscious Layers"- this is a fabulous layout featuring the Gathering Collection buy Authentique and has a mini album built into it. There are amazing complimentary products from Canvas Corp, 7 Gypsies, Ranger, Bazzill, Sizzix and Epiphany Crafts along with a hint of Prima.

Saturday. May 19, 2012 9am-12:30 pm

Pink Paislee "Trinkets and Treasures"- This is a beautiful album that showcases the stunning Spring Jubilee Collection. We will get a bit messy in this class as we play with paints, stains and stamps initially and then work to create the "filling" that features some fabulous tips and tricks to create pages that are full of flips, flaps and pockets to store many of your TRINKETS AND TREASURES.

Saturday, May 19 1:30pm-5pm

Pink Paislee "A Cut Above"- This is going to be a fun filled class and is exclusive to Scrapbook Secrets in Australia. The New Zealand ladies will have it too but this is the only Aussie store hosting this class. It features Pink Paislee's London Market Collection and is a beautiful layout worthy or displaying in a frame on your wall. I do want to point out that although this layout has the title and journalling to reflect my hubby and I celebrating 20 years, you are free to customise your title and journalling as you wish!!!! The cool thing about this class? There will be some cards that we will be doing in class as well! A 2 for 1 deal is always a good thing, right?!

Saturday, May 19 6pm-9:30pm

This is a special class that I am designing AS WE SPEAK. It's a special project and my way of trying to make up for some of the inconvenience of having to cancel the other store but I think you ladies are going to LOVE IT!!!!!

Using Authentique Papers' GENUINE collection of textured papers and co ordinating embellishments... you know the one... the BEAUTIFUL denim inspired patterns with pops of yellow... anyways, this is a STUNNING mini album full of texture and dimension through out. I am nearing completion and will post photos ASAP.

I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting confirmation of alternate venues and am happy to report that not only has Scrapbook Secrets stepped up to the plate to offer her store but Inspired Crafts has opened a few additional spaces on Thursday, May 17. We are also looking at opening some spaces on Sunday, May 20 at Inspired Crafts as well but need to know ASAP if this is something you are interested in. Please call them directly without hesitation and let them know. If the response is great enough, we will add them within the next couple of days. 

Seeing as I leave in 2 weeks, there is not a lot of time to delay as I will have to add some orders and have them shipped immediately!

Again, a HUGE thank you to Scrapbook Secrets for allowing me the honour of teaching at their store... especially on such short notice!  I am so very grateful for some fabulous people in this world and I knew that some good would surely come out of a not so good experience.

Some unfortunate news....

It is with great sadness that I must regretfully inform the ladies who have registered for my classes at the SCRAPPY KAPER locations in both Dallwalinu, WA and Cunderdin, WA that all scheduled classes have been cancelled. After numerous attempts to reach the owner and plenty of opportunities for commitments to be kept (none of which have), I have no other option.

It is my suggestion that you contact the store owner directly for your full refund for all class fees paid  immediately.

Please know that I am working diligently to secure another possible Host Store so that those affected by these cancellations will have other options as I would still LOVE to see you all! I promise you that if you are willing to make the drive in to come, you will be glad you did! I know many of yo have been looking forward to this event, as have I so know it was NOT an easy decision and it is even harder to type this post.

At the moment, Inspired Crafts in Perth may have limited spaces available for Thursday, May 17 but I know they are nearing capacity so I would not delay. Please contact them directly to register. They can be found at:

The countdown is on......

Only 3 weeks until I board my flight to head out on my Artsy Adventure! THREE WEEKS!!!!! WOW! Where has the time gone?! In this next week, the last of the prep work that I can do for the Authentique class kits will be complete and boxes will be shipped. I know my hubby will be happy to not have to look at the disaster I have going on as a result of my kitting... lol!

Orders will be shipped by Prima and Pink Paislee to various destinations.

I am getting butterflies thinking about what lies ahead. I will be in instruction writing mode for the next week too as I finish up all of those details (never the fun part of my job but alas a necessity so I will just plug through it and get it done!).

For anyone who may have been sitting on the fence about joining me in one or more of the classes at any of the locations, you might want to register this week. Many stores have sold out or are very near to doing so. There is no guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you after this week as products will be shipped and I only have limited space in my luggage. Remember that many are also willing to ship to you if you cannot be in attendance.

In the next week or so I will post the supply list of what you should bring with you. The Host Stores have all had the list and I assume they have been sent to you but if you are anything like me, it certainly doesn't hurt to go over that list and double check!!!!

I will also tell you now that you will NOT be adding photos in class (you can do that at home). So you don't have to worry about that at the moment! I will also mention that you have complete freedom to change up the titles and journaling on your project. The words I use are only a suggestion but I always want to make sure that you have a project at the end of the day that is relevant to you and your life in photos. So if you see a title in the pics I have posted and don't think it will work for you... no worries! I am one of those teachers that encourages you to change things up so it works FOR YOU!

A little something extra...

As I have been buried in kit preparations this past week, die cutting like a wild woman, the excitement is beginning to mount! It dawned on me today that I will be leaving on my Artsy Adventure in only about 5 weeks! Where did the time go???!!! With that in mind, I thought I had better share a little bit of info that just might make a few of you VERY happy!

Over the past little while as I have been preparing the class samples, I have been trying to come up with something extra special for those of you that attend 2 classes at your nearest store hosting my classes. So now that I have finished designing the samples, I can confirm that there will be a BONUS mini project to those who attend BOTH classes at their closest store. Although there will not be time in class to complete these projects, there will be photos and instructions available so you can complete the projects on your own time using extra goodies in your kits. How fun is that?

Most class spaces are nearing capacity, so if you have not already registered, I suggest contacting one of these stores to secure your space. Can't make the actual class but still interested in a kit? Most stores are willing to ship the kits AFTER class (shipping will be at your expense) so be sure to get your name on their lists if interested! Exciting news about the Authentique Class....

Well, the Authentique class sample is FINALLY finished and I have so many exciting things to share with you about it! Many of you may have seen the sneak peeks I posted on the Artsy Adventure Facebook Page, but incase you didn't here are a couple of teaser shots for you... I will take proper photos soon and post those but how about this for now?

We have some fabulous additions to this class that I want to let you all know about! Not only do we get to work with the stunningly beautiful Authentique papers and die cuts from the Gathering Collection (as if that were not enough!!!!) but I have also been able to incorporate some gorgeous products to further enhance this project.

First up, Epiphany Crafts. Have you ladies had the opportunity to work with their uber cool tools yet? If not, do not despair! We will be working with their tools and fabulous Bubble Caps to take Authentique Papers products to the next level of fabulous! You will be amazed at how we can create our own custom embellishments with our favourite papers and Epiphany Crafts tools and Bubble Caps:D Can't wait to show you all!

Next, this next company has the goods that will be my hero for a long time to come! YUP! A HUGE thank you to Sizzix. I will be including numerous die cuts in each kit but have to precut everything for you as there is no way we would EVER get it done during class. With about 2000 die cuts to do in total, my new best friend has become the Vagabond! I seriously don't know why I never tried this amazing machine sooner. You will have some of the coolest shapes cut from not only the gorgeous Authentique papers but also heavy weight Bazzill Chipboard as well as some fabric!

Canvas Corp has some amazing products that take this project to an entirely new level. Many of you that have taken classes with me in the past know that I am all about Lumps and Bumps and I LOVE texture so this was the PERFECT addition to this class. Using their sewn Canvas 12X12 pages for the foundation, it allowed us to "grow" the project into something one would never have expected! We will build essentially what is equivalent to a mini album ON the page! But we don't stop at just canvas.... oh NO! We will be using some of their fabulous Kraft envelopes and bags too to create fun little pockets though out the project!

We'll be using Ranger products to do some really cool techniques including turning the decadent Authentique papers into fabric pieces too.

Finally, a few little doodads from 7 gypsies and Prima as well as a few random items and we have the PERFECT Authentique Class!

All of these companies products compliment the Authentique brand of papers and embellishments beautifully and if you have not registered for this class as of yet, I would not delay! It is available at 12 of the different stores and I am pretty certain that the spaces will be going VERY fast! Most are near selling out so check the list of Host Stores on the blog and register today! Also, please note that if you cannot make it to an actual class, many of these stores are willing to ship you a kit (you will be responsible for shipping costs!).

Okay... this has been an epic blog post so I will leave it at that for now... I do hope you ladies are just as excited as I am! Can't believe that I will be leaving for down under in about 6 weeks... eeeeeeeeeek!

Prima Class Sneak Peeks...

Well my friends, I am happy to say that yet another class sample is complete for the upcoming Artsy Adventure Tour in Australia and New Zealand!

This is the Prima class featuring the newly released Sun Kiss Collection. The beautiful yellow and blue colour palette is sure to warm your heart. The kit is bursting with gorgeous papers, housed in a canvas album and decorated beautifully with co-ordinating trims, art tiles, chipboard and of course a plethora of different flowers!

We will learn some cool techniques for making the most of your products and using them in ways you may not have yet considered.
